Martha SOloninka, LMBT # 21868
Martha, a Raleigh native, discovered her passion for massage therapy after a transformative experience during a visit to the Lotus Temple in 2021. Martha’s decision to enter massage practice was a natural one, combining her desire to help others with her hands-on approach to healing. She received her training through Wake Tech’s Massage Therapy program, which emphasized anatomy, physiology, and a variety of clinical techniques. Known for her attention to detail, Martha offers a range of services tailored to meet her clients' unique needs, including Lymphatic Drainage massage, for which she has completed additional certifications for continuing education. Her massage incorporates elements of Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial release techniques. Her approach, which she has come to call the "Lotus Temple Way," is characterized by deep slow pressure, rhythmic rocking, gentle stretches, and a focus on client communication to ensure a truly personalized and therapeutic experience.
ROSS DUNCAN, LMBT #9637
Ross has been in the massage business since 1999, when he graduated first from North Carolina School of the Healing Arts, then from American and European Massage Academy. Since then he has been actively studying two underrepresented modalities of Asian bodywork, Tui Na and Thai Bodywork. These unique styles can reach deep and old soft tissue injuries and disfunctions. His other areas of interest and research is the autonomic nervous system and how it regulates the stress response, and how it can be improved through touch therapies. In the last 5 years Ross has also had specialized training in massage therapy to offer relief from the pain and discomfort of spinal paralysis. He practices the related arts of Tai Chi and Qi Gong, which inform his bodywork and massage.
